Anthropology has a strong commitment to preserving and transmitting the knowledge of the past, illuminating the challenges of the present, and contributing to their solutions and shaping the future. Department of Anthropology faculty and students are actively engaged in a wide range of publicly and privately funded research projects. These projects not only fall within the traditional subdisciplines of Anthropology: Archaeology and Socio-cultural Anthropology, but are also relevant to our department's focus in the areas of Environment, Health, and Heritage.
